1 pound of ground turkey or chicken
1/4 teaspoon kosher salt
1/8 teaspoon coarse ground black pepper
1/2 yellow onion, chopped
1 tablespoon flour
1/2 cup chicken stock
1 tablespoons of milk
1/2 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese
16 ounces frozen tater tots
1 - Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
2 - Add the ground turkey, salt, and pepper to a large cast iron skillet on medium high heat and cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes.
3 - Remove the ground beef and add in the onions, cooking for 5-7 minutes or until softened.
4 - Add in the flour and whisk for 15 seconds before adding in the chicken stock, milk, and Worcestershire sauce.
5 - Cook on medium heat for 2-3 minutes until thickened, add the turkey back in and stir until combined.
6 - In a baking dish, layer the turkey, then the cheese and finally line up the tater tots before baking for 40-45 minutes.
