Q is for...

Qi

I was worried that Q was going to be one of trickier letters, but after a friend's suggestion (thanks, JS!), Qi was the perfect pick for lunch.

What we ordered:
- Chive corn dumplings with a chili soy sauce
- Pad see ew with vegetables
- Mixed market greens tofu, tomatoes, cucumbers, onions and peanut sauce dressing

It gets an A for:
- The lunch special - $7.95 for an appetizer and entree
- The interior - absolutely beautiful space with white marble floors, gorgeous chandeliers, and antique walls

It gets an F for:
- The appetizer and entree coming out at the same time. I know noodle dishes are ready in minutes, but it wasn't crowded, so what's the rush?!
- Funny tasting Diet Coke

The inside looks so different than the one on 14th. This one looks much more casual and brighter. The one on 14th has really interesting and totally out there decor with long communal tables. If you go to the 14th location check out the bathrooms downstairs.

They also do awesome happy hour drinks specials until 7 or 8pm.

My favorite dish is the spicy basil with eggplant and tofu. Much more flavorful than Spice and other popular Thai restaurants.

Glad you enjoyed it!

So crazy how different the two locations are. I saw the Times Square one opened a few months ago. Maybe they took over another restaurant because the menu was identical to another Thai place in Hell's Kitchen called Room Service that I went to a month ago. Very strange!

I definitely want to check out the one on 14th...it can be Q Part 2!
